Swarthmore College Chinese Journal, known as 『索思』 in Chinese, is a bilingual journal dedicated to fostering cultural and academic exchanges between Chinese and English speakers. The journal is student-founded and student-run, serving the Swarthmore College community and a broader readership.
Our mission is to provide a platform for showcasing academic achievements, literary works, and artistic expressions of students. We encourage contributions from authors of diverse backgrounds to enrich our content and promote a deeper understanding and respect for multiculturalism. The journal is published regularly, featuring articles in humanities, social sciences, interviews, and more.
We believe that the Swarthmore College Chinese Journal serves as a bridge connecting Chinese and Western cultures, enhancing cultural diversity and academic exchange at Swarthmore College and beyond.
Taking into consideration of the linguistic diversity among the Swarthmore Chinese-speaking communities, all articles are published in the language that it was first submitted (i.e. Simplified or Traditional Chinese). Articles only represent the opinion of the writers and not the journal.
